The company stands for efficient supply chain solutions in industry, trade and the recycling sector. For a site in southern Germany, Rhenus was looking for a truck scale that could reliably handle the high daily turnover, was easy to clean and reduced cleaning and maintenance costs thanks to its design.The choice fell on the \u2b08HE-SFK 20 underfloor truck scale<\/a><\/strong> from ESSMANN | Waagen & Automation<\/strong>, equipped with T-profile rubbers<\/strong> and the EWP weighing system<\/strong>. A combination that combines robust mechanics with modern software integration, ideal for logistics transshipment points with high throughput and clear process requirements. <\/p>\n\n

Project overview: Cleanliness meets precision<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The HE-SFK 20<\/strong> was installed on strip foundations<\/strong>, a space-saving foundation concept that shortens the installation time and significantly reduces the amount of material required. This construction method is ideal for locations with limited space or tight time windows during operation. <\/p>\n\n

The challenge at Rhenus: heavy daily truck traffic, frequently changing loads and the ingress of dirt due to weather conditions. To ensure the reliability of the weighing process in the long term, T-profile rubbers<\/strong> were integrated along the gaps between the weighbridge and pit – a simple but extremely effective detail in environments where dirt ingress is very high. <\/p>\n\n

These robust rubber elements prevent dirt, sludge and bulk material residues from entering the weighing pit. This significantly reduces the cleaning effort and the risk of blockages or corrosion of the weighing technology. The result: longer maintenance intervals, less downtime, higher availability.<\/strong> To ensure air circulation, the T-profile rubbers can be raised on less busy, dry days. Regular ventilation prevents waterlogging in the weighing pit. <\/p>\n\n
