System developer and plant engineer (m/f/d) for industrial and weighing technology

ESSMANN | Waagen & Automation is an owner-managed medium-sized German company with headquarters in Hamburg and branches in Berlin, Beckum and Westhausen. The ESSMANN team, consisting of scale manufacturers, process experts and software developers, develops solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s weighing and automation issues.

We build scales for industry, starting with high-precision laboratory scales, which we sell via our online store Scale Discounter to rail vehicle scales with UIC number recognition.

We need you in our team as a system developer and plant engineer.

Your tasks in our team

  • Development and programming of technical industrial solutions in weighing technology, loading systems and yard control systems in C# and PLC.
  • Responsible for setting up, installing and configuring control solutions and control cabinets.
  • Close cooperation with our in-house IT department.
  • Troubleshooting, analyzing and finding solutions for our customers’ hardware and software queries.
  • Remote support for customers and our service technicians on site with final troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration with product management, project management and sales.

What you ideally bring with you

  • Successfully completed training as a communications or IT system electronics technician, mechatronics technician, electrical systems fitter, electronics technician for automation technology, IT specialist for system integration or comparable professional experience.
  • Enthusiasm for independent and conscientious work.
  • Pragmatic and goal-oriented way of working as well as a strong service orientation.
  • Enjoy developing new solutions with colleagues in a great team.
