Process flow of the customer
This means that the customer can now enjoy the following benefits:
- Drivers, both in-house and external, can carry out multilingual
deliveries and collections. - The trucks are automatically weighed on the truck scales.
- It is possible to obtain a complete overview of the stocks in modern recycling facilities and to actively manage them.
- Trip bookings and results can be seamlessly transferred to the company ERP.
ESSMANN’s high-quality weighing solutions, which have been developed since 1860, fit perfectly into the customer’s environment. Thanks to our in-house developed software, which has been in use for over 25 years, work processes can be controlled efficiently. Our team of scale manufacturers, process experts and software developers develops solutions for current and future requirements.
Our established solutions with our standard software have already convinced many customers:
- Automation of driver self-service including weighing, routing and invoicing.
- Cross-location connection and system utilization, even at poorly connected locations.
- Reporting and compliance with legal requirements, including updates as part of maintenance contracts.
- Automated inventory management and billing, also with cashless payment.
- Integrated control of silos, presses, gate systems, etc. as part of the process chain.
The process flow is as follows:
- The dispatcher creates orders in the customer’s ERP system.
- eANV consignment bills are created.
- The driving orders are sent to the customer’s telematics solution.
- The data record from the ERP system is transferred to our EWP weighing software.
- The driver drives onto the scales.
- The scales are automatically reset to zero.
- The driver holds his delivery bill or, alternatively, the telematics device in front of the scanner in the driver self-service terminal. The scanner is positioned so that the driver does not have to get out of the vehicle.
- EWP checks the order and automatically transfers the relevant data. All the driver has to do is enter their license plate number on the touchscreen.
- The initial weighing takes place automatically when the driver stands correctly on the scales with his truck and the position detection gives the OK.
- If the initial weighing is successful, the driver drives to the loading point on the factory premises.
- The driver then drives onto the scales again and they are automatically reset to zero.
- The driver holds the telematics device or the delivery bill in front of the scanner again.
- The order is checked again by EWP and, if the first weighing is successful, the second weighing is initiated.
- The driver signs digitally and in a legally secure manner on a signature pad integrated into the driver self-service terminal.
- An installed receipt printer prints a weighing report for the driver.
- The enriched data record is sent back to the ERP system for invoicing.
- The driver leaves the scales.
