Conformity assessment
(manufacturer initial verification)
ESSMANN | Waagen & Automation is officially authorized to carry out the so-called conformity assessment procedure for non-automatic weighing instruments (NAWIs). Colloquially, this used to be referred to as “manufacturer initial verification” – the correct term today is EU directives.
This authorization results from our integration into a certified quality management system. This means for our customers: ESSMANN is authorized to approve scales for legally compliant use in commercial transactions – throughout Europe.
We provide you with everything from a single source: from planning, project planning and commissioning to the legally required conformity marking (CE/verification mark).
Our service: Calibration & legally compliant handover
After installation and commissioning of your scales, we take over:
- precise calibration to ensure measurement accuracy,
- the complete conformity assessment procedure (incl. CE marking),
- and the professional handover of your calibrated scales.
This means that your scales meet all legal requirements – quickly, reliably and from a single source.
