Our service team is available on weekdays, responds quickly to fault messages and carries out repair work both on site and via remote diagnostics if the problems are software-related. The aim is always to minimize downtimes and ensure the availability of your system.
Repair or modernization after all?
A repair makes sense if individual components such as load cells, junction boxes or cable harnesses are defective, but the system is basically stable. In this case, targeted replacement is carried out without interfering with the system structure or existing calibrations. This is an economically viable solution, particularly for older scales or in systems with a limited budget. Spare parts are available at short notice, the original system configuration is retained and operation can be resumed promptly.
However, if repairs become necessary in quick succession or critical components can no longer be procured, a ➚modernization should be considered. ESSMANN offers modular solutions – from the replacement of individual electronic components to complete system renewal with modern control technology and digital connection.
Maintenance – preventive instead of reactive

Our service technicians check mechanical components, calibrate the measuring chain and check the software functions for consistency and compliance with standards. Maintenance is carried out at defined intervals and can be documented and audited as part of a service contract if required – a decisive advantage for QA-relevant processes.

Mechanical stress, temperature cycles, dust or moisture inevitably lead to wear. Load cells, cable connections, terminal boxes and contact surfaces are particularly affected. By replacing these parts with original components in good time, the long-term accuracy and availability of the system can be ensured – even in legal-for-trade operation. Fast and efficient
If your scale is faulty, we respond quickly. Our customer center will immediately inform our nearest service technician, who will make his way to you to rectify the fault. An error analysis can be carried out in advance using our online remote diagnostics tool (Teamviewer). This means that the technician is optimally prepared and can bring any necessary materials with him directly.
There when you need us
Thanks to our numerous locations throughout Germany and our close-knit service network, there is always a technician nearby who can take care of your scales. Our technicians carry a large selection of spare parts directly in their vehicles so that many repairs can be carried out on site and downtimes are minimized. In urgent cases, spare parts can also be delivered overnight from our warehouse.

Our customer service is available from Monday to Friday. A quick call is all it takes to speak to our customer service staff. Whether you have questions or want to report a fault, you can get the information, help or the right contact person you need here.
You can send us your request at any time using our support form, even outside regular working hours. As soon as you send it, it will be immediately transferred to our support system. We will then get back to you as quickly as possible on the next working day to help you.

Our spare parts are always available in our central warehouse in Hamburg or in our branches in Berlin and Westhausen. Thanks to a modern communication system, we can process inquiries quickly and send the required spare parts directly to where they are urgently needed – even overnight and directly to the service technician’s car. We always have spare parts available for your system to ensure that it is always ready for use.
