Do you need to save time and money on weighing or ensure your goods flow 24 hours a day?

Then the driver self-service system from ESSMANN | Waagen & Automation offers you many options. The driver simply operates the scales himself using an identification system. A card reader terminal is used for this, either with a touchscreen or with an LCD display and control keypad. By using our systems, building materials dealers such as Vereinigte Kreidewerke in Söhlde and the Heidelberger Group have expanded their goods receiving and delivery operations to 24 hours a day. This was achieved without the need for additional personnel, as the operation of the scales was shifted to the drivers.

With our EWP weighing software, you can carry out your dispatching as required. The driver activates dispatching for the weighing process using his card after he has positioned his truck on the scales. If data was not yet available at the time of scheduling, it can be added by the driver by entering it on the device. Once all the data is available, the initial weighing is carried out automatically and the truck can be loaded or unloaded.

For the second weighing, the driver identifies himself again with the card. The data from the second weighing is added to the first weighing carried out previously. The system automatically recognizes whether your material has been delivered or removed. Manual operation or additions to the data via the weighing workstation are possible at any time.

If the empty vehicle weight is stored in the system, it is even easier and faster. The loaded vehicle is driven onto the scales. The driver identifies himself with the card and the weighing is triggered automatically.

Receipts (routing slips, delivery or weighing slips) can be printed out after the first and second weighing. A printer with a presenter device is often selected for the printout. This only outputs the receipt after the printing process has been completed, thus preventing inexperienced users from causing a paper jam by tearing it out prematurely. A built-in clamp system holds the receipt in place and protects it from “impatient fingers” until printing is complete and the receipt can be presented undamaged.

By positioning the device technology directly next to the scales, it can be operated from the driver’s cab. The EWP-TS operating software is available in several languages.

The correct vehicle position is monitored by installing modern sensor technology. Ultrasonic sensors have the advantage of being insensitive to dirt. If the vehicle is not correctly positioned on the scales, it will not be weighed. In addition, a network camera can be used to save an image for each weighing operation carried out. Furthermore, the camera image is permanently displayed in the weighing program.

The device technology used is connected to each other via a network, meaning that data can be transmitted at a speed of up to 100 Mbit. Communication is therefore many times faster and more secure than was previously the case with serial connections.

All devices are controlled by the EWP software, which offers unimagined possibilities for mapping your individual operating processes and is extremely user-friendly.
