50th place in the ranking of the most dynamic SMEs in Germany – this position in theranking of the SZ Institute in cooperation with Creditreform is both a milestone and a signal for the ESSMANN Group: growth is no coincidence, but the result of consistent work on quality, customer orientation and technological development.
The survey is based on a comprehensive analysis of the business development of over 12,000 companies. Among other things, sales growth, equity ratio and employee development over several years were evaluated. ESSMANN achieved 50th place – not yet taking into account the integration ofWägetechnik Heinz Visser GmbH in spring 2025. The ESSMANN Group also includes WHI Wägetechnik für Handel und Industrie GmbH & Co. integrated in 2022 and operates theESSMANN store with it.

The online offering is an example of the change at ESSMANN: In addition to the large truck scales, bulk scales and rail scales ESSMANN has positioned itself as broadly today as it once did in the days of the Ottensener Waagenfabrik ALESCO at the beginning of the 20th century: The balance portfolio today ranges from theultra-fine balance with a minimum load of 0.00001 g, through to the rail scaleswhich can weigh wagons up to 200 tons. This means that ESSMANN is once again one of the few specialist weighing companies that can cover the entire range of scales.
