ESSMANN HE-SFK underfloor truck scales – also in WHG or ATEX version
The ESSMANN HE-SFK is a high-precision truck scale that can be installed completely below ground level for legal-for-trade applications in accordance with accuracy class III as per Directive 2014/31/EU (MID) or DIN EN 45501 in industry, logistics, agriculture and municipal and waste disposal companies. Thanks to the integrated base plate, factory pre-assembly and optional WHG or ATEX version, the robust truck scales are ideal for demanding locations – even with transverse loads that can be driven over. Its modular design, durable technology and system compatibility with ESSMANN peripherals (e.g. terminals, license plate recognition, yard management software) make it the ideal solution for modern weighing systems with a high level of automation.
HE-SFK underfloor truck scale design
The ESSMANN HE-SFK truck scales are supplied ready for use with factory-fitted load cells and a fully pre-assembled precast concrete foundation.
Bridge size:
Standard dimensions 18 × 3 m (L × W). Modular design allows lengths of 8 to 30 m and widths of 3 to 4.5 m.
Special versions with upstand or in WHG or ATEX design available.
Installation:
Underfloor installation on a reinforced, integrated base plate – there is no need for on-site strip foundations or clean-out layers. Installation takes place directly on compacted ground.

The weighbridge can be driven over both lengthwise and crosswise and is resistant to frost and de-icing salt. Galvanized bumper supports and edge protection brackets are integrated as standard.

Notes on planning and installation
- No separate foundation required for version with base plate
- Important note: Crossover requires sufficient open space, drainage connection and, if necessary, soil stabilization
- For locations that are not permanently fixed, we recommend the above-ground steel scales as an alternative ➚HE-TS with minimal foundation requirements or the ➚HE-ÜWS

Control column HE-MXXL
With a height of 2.8m, the control column for our driver self-service terminal offers a large and customizable installation area of 310mm x 2000mm. It is suitable for all types of vehicles, from cars to trucks. Thanks to its large installation depth, the control column provides a universal platform for customer-specific installations such as weighing terminals, terminal PCs, printers, card and/or barcode readers, hands-free telephones, video surveillance and more. The control column consists of an aluminum housing and a stainless steel base designed for durability. The front features a retractable front panel and a plug-in door that is secured by a lock. The control column is available in different colors.
As a DELL partner, we offer you PCs, monitors and printers and install our proven EWP weighing software.
Network cameras for photo documentation during weighing and for license plate recognition.
Thanks to ANPR technology, license plates can be recorded automatically. This allows us to reliably identify vehicles that are already registered or visitor vehicles in the yard. The recorded data is automatically compared with our EWP weighing software and the weighing screen is immediately filled in with the corresponding master data of the license plate.

Handsfree telephone
The industry standard consists of three modules with up to four call buttons for connection to a telephone system. The call button can be assigned a fixed call number that is dialed when the button is pressed. A door opener connected to a control contact of the hands-free telephone can be confirmed by entering a code number from the inside (on the called party’s telephone). The telephone has two such control contacts and can be used for any purpose. It is installed ready for connection in our self-service terminal or in an optimally available pedestal.
Built-in barcode scanner
HE-GFS
Our barcode reader for installation in our self-service terminals can read common 1D (barcodes) and 2D (QR) codes. The data is converted into an interface format and transmitted to the higher-level input terminal or computer system via the interface. To guarantee reliable scanning performance, the module is housed in a housing sealed with high-grade resin, making it compliant with industrial standards. The reader features patented technology that visually indicates successful code capture to the user, minimizing errors by the driver during self-service.

Manufacturer calibration of the HE-SFK underfloor truck scales
After craning in and installing the underfloor truck scale, we adjust it with weights at its place of use and bring it into a legal-for-trade condition. Our team then calibrates it for the first time using calibration weights and it can then be used immediately in legal-for-trade applications. This process is called manufacturer calibration or conformity assessment procedure called.
