Our static combination scales for rail and road vehicles: ESSMANN HE-SRS
The HE-SRS series scales can be manufactured either as classic rail vehicle scales or as combined rail and road vehicle scales and are designed for static weighing. It is a modular steel construction consisting of several sections. The sections can be interconnected permanently or in any combination. The system is characterized in particular by its very low overall height. Due to the low weight of the steel construction, the scale can be easily installed using light lifting equipment (e.g. 2-way excavator or forklift truck), even in difficult-to-access installation locations, such as under existing silo systems. The scales are installed on strip foundations to be provided by the customer or optionally in a prefabricated foundation.
In conjunction with the HE-SRS rail vehicle scales, the optional HE-AUTOPOS system can also be supplied for loading systems. The system is used at loading stations where the wagons are to be loaded on the scales in a coupled train formation. HE-AUTOPOS always determines the current position of the loaded wagon on the scales and automatically connects the correct bridge formation. The system automatically detects any shifting and rolling back of the train. This means that the current net weight can always be displayed to the weigher/shunter during loading and the current loading weight can always be transmitted to the loading control system.
This makes loading the wagons much quicker and easier and prevents the train from having to be broken up for loading. The system prevents the wagons from being overfilled and weighed at the wrong time.

The HE-SRS rail vehicle scales program is a system for weighing rail vehicles and complies with the applicable DIN standards, the regulations of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and the OIML recommendations. The load specifications of DIN 8119, DIN Technical Report 101 and LM71 are decisive for the dimensioning of the scales.

Assembly info
During the installation of the scale, it is adjusted at its place of use and brought into a legal-for-trade condition. Using vehicles and calibration weights, it is then calibrated by our team for the first mail and can then be used immediately in legal-for-trade applications. This process is called manufacturer calibration (or conformity assessment procedure).
