Our traditional weighing companyfounded in 1860 in Hamburg-Wandsbek, was founded in 1860, draws on decades of experience, Hanseatic reliability and pragmatic thinking. At the same time, we operate with the dynamism and innovative strength of a start-up. We constantly rethink weighing and use it innovatively: fully automatedas an advanced system control or as a cloud service for data analysis. Numerous old patents are proof of our early innovative spirit and our willingness to use new technologies sensibly and face up to changing challenges.

Dr.-Ing. Fabian Ehmke
Managing Director
Dr.-Ing. Fabian Ehmke specializes in the future of weighing technologies, innovation and digitalization. He has over ten years of international experience in technology and innovation management and is an experienced group leader and project manager in special machine construction and software development. At ESSMANN, he is responsible for product and technology development and sales.
Dr.-Ing. Gregor Graßl
Managing Director
Dr.-Ing. Gregor Graßl began his career in materials research at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft after completing a double degree in engineering and international technology management. Over the course of his career, he has worked as a team and site manager, founded several research and industrial facilities and led projects for the introduction of digital manufacturing methods in the automotive and aerospace industries. At ESSMANN, he is responsible for personnel development, business development and sales processes.
René Teichmann
Managing Director
René Teichmann holds a degree in Finance from the University of Wales, Cardiff and the Harz University of Applied Sciences.
He has worked as Head of Information Technology at Zeitverlag Gerd Bucerius GmbH & Co. KG and as CIO at Rickmers Holding AG.
He was also a member of the advisory board of Deutsche Technologie Manufakturen GmbH.
At ESSMANN, he is responsible for finance and accounting as well as the management of IT.

ESSMANN – Hanseatic scale manufacturer
Founded in 1860 in Hamburg-Wandsbek and relocated to Altona-Ottensen in 1877, ESSMANN is a true Hanseatic company with a natural proximity to the port. You will find ESSMANN scales in all industrial and professional sectors.
Our current Hamburg locations are in Altona and Wilhelmsburg in the port of Hamburg. Further locations can be found in Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg.
